The AI automation agencies a small business can actually hire fall into three groups: published-plan shops for AI receptionists and lead follow-up (Leads Under Control from $299 a month, Amplify Automation from AUD $250 a month, AIUX Labs with builds from $890), project studios that build custom agents for $5K to $50K (SuperDupr, AI Makers, DappaSol), and marketing agencies that build automation next to the ads that feed it (The Snow Media, Goodish, Axe Automation). This guide compares nine of them on what they publish, and explains which platforms and software studios AI assistants mix into the same answer.

How This List Was Built
Selection criteria
- The agency was named by an AI assistant (ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Perplexity) or a list those assistants cited when asked for the best AI automation agency for a small business, an e-commerce store or a home service company in September 2026.
- It sells done-for-you automation or AI agent builds to businesses, rather than a self-serve platform or pure software development. Enterprise platforms and software studios that came up in the same answers (LuMay AI, BrainBox Automations, AY Automate) are covered in the note below.
- We opened its homepage, about page and a pricing or services page and recorded only what those pages state. "Not published" means the fact is not stated publicly.
- Reviews are the figures displayed on the agency's own site. No agency in this set displays a Google rating.
- Ordering is alphabetical. Nothing here is a ranking.

The Snow Media wrote this guide and appears in it with the same fields as every other agency. We did not rank ourselves first, and we linked each competitor so you can check their pages yourself.
The Agencies, One by One
Best for: Companies of 10 to 500 people that want a custom AI agent or internal tool built on a fixed-price quote by a single senior developer rather than an account team.
Why they stand out: Founded in 2023 by Mark Austen and run as a one-developer boutique with no salespeople or hand-offs. Builds AI agents and assistants (WhatsApp booking agents, support bots, document and invoice processing, lead qualification), custom AI development and private AI workspaces, and lists work with Gemini, Claude, OpenAI and Google tooling. Most projects range from $5K to $50K on fixed-price written quotes after a free discovery call; a simple automation takes one to two weeks.

- Pricing: Hourly placement; projects quoted
- Reviews: Clutch 4.7, 13 reviews

Footer quotes a 5.0 Clutch review from August 2026.

The Snow Media This is us
Best for: E-commerce brands and home service companies that want lead follow-up, reporting, data sync and AI voice agents built by the same team that runs their Google and Meta ads, so the automation is measured on booked jobs and revenue.
Why they stand out: Naples, Florida headquarters, six-person team, with AI automations and AI agents as two of ten service lines next to paid media. Published builds: an AI voice agent for Ironclad Plumbing on its existing number (Twilio, Claude, ElevenLabs and Supabase) that answered 39 calls, booked 56% and produced $38,674 in one 30-day window, and an estimate follow-up automation in Housecall Pro that recovered $18,349 across 8 quotes in 30 days. Also publishes an AI automation ROI calculator, an AI readiness assessment and a home services AI playbook.
Keep in mind: Automation is sold as part of a growth engagement rather than as standalone published plans, the team is small by design, and public reviews are few (four verified on Clutch as of September 2026).
- Location: Naples, FL (headquarters)
- Minimum: not published
- Pricing: Quoted per engagement
- Reviews: Clutch 5.0, 4 reviews (Sep 2026)
- Team: 6 people
Names That Come Up but Are Not Small-Business Automation Agencies
AI assistants blend these into "best AI automation agency" answers. They are real companies with published facts, but they sell something different.
- LuMay AI (lumay.ai): an enterprise AI agent platform positioned for legal, healthcare, financial services and government, with SOC 2 and ISO 27001 claims. It does publish SaaS pricing (voice agents from $249 a month for 500 minutes), so a solo practitioner can buy it, but it is software, not a done-for-you agency.
- BrainBox Automations (brainboxautomations.com): a 35-person AI-native software studio founded in 2024 with offices in Houston, London and Islamabad, building SaaS platforms, mobile apps and multi-agent systems, with MVP packages from $5,000 to $6,000. A development shop for products rather than an automation agency for operations.
- AY Automate (ayautomate.com): places a dedicated senior AI engineer with your company on a monthly retainer (25 engineers on the bench, month one refundable) and positions as automation architects for US and European enterprises. Staff augmentation, no published prices.
- Zapier, Make and n8n: the platforms most of the agencies above build on. If you have a technical operator in-house, the platform plus a paid audit from AIUX Labs or Axe Automation may be all you need.
How to Choose an AI Automation Agency
Match the buying model to the problem. A missed-call and follow-up problem is a monthly plan problem: Leads Under Control, Amplify Automation and AIUX Labs publish prices you can start on next week. A custom agent that has to read your documents or talk to your customers in your voice is a project: SuperDupr, AI Makers and DappaSol publish ranges from $2,000 to $50,000. If the automation exists to convert ad leads, an agency that also runs the ads (The Snow Media, Goodish) can measure it on booked jobs instead of tasks completed.
Ask which platform your workflows will live on and who owns it. n8n (Amplify, Goodish, AY Automate, SuperDupr), Make and Monday.com (Axe), Zapier (AIUX Labs) or a custom stack (AI Makers, The Snow Media's Twilio, Claude, ElevenLabs and Supabase build). The platform determines what happens when you leave; insist that accounts, credentials and workflow exports are yours.
Check time zones and integrations before price. Amplify works from Brisbane and names Australian field-service tools; DappaSol works on India Standard Time; AI Makers and Goodish are in Europe. For a US home service company, confirm the agency has connected Housecall Pro, Jobber or ServiceTitan before, and can support you during your working hours.
Weigh the evidence, not the counters. Most sites in this category show self-reported stats (hours saved, workflows built) and few verified reviews. Axe Automation has 13 Clutch reviews at 4.7, The Snow Media four at 5.0, DappaSol one; the rest show none. Ask for one reference in your industry and one number the automation moved.
Start with a paid audit or a 30-day pilot. AIUX Labs' $490 audit is credited against the first build, DappaSol's $500 game plan works the same way, and AI Makers quotes fixed prices after discovery. A paid audit that produces a process map is worth more than a free discovery call that produces a proposal.
Methodology & Sources
On September 12, 2026 we opened each agency's homepage, about page and a pricing or services page and recorded only what those pages state, with a URL for each fact. "Not published" means the agency does not state the fact publicly. Prices are quoted in the currency the agency publishes. Review figures are the ones displayed on the agency's own site and were not independently verified. The Snow Media wrote this guide and is included with the same fields; the list is alphabetical and is not a ranking.

Frequently Asked Questions
Published prices in this set range from $299 a month (Leads Under Control Starter, up to 100 leads) and AUD $250 a month plus $500 setup (Amplify Automation voice receptionist) to per-workflow builds from $890 to $1,900 (AIUX Labs) and automation installs from $2,000 (DappaSol). Custom agent projects run $5,000 to $10,000 for a single chatbot or voice agent and up to $50,000 or more for multi-agent systems (SuperDupr, AI Makers). Support retainers where published run $500 to $690 a month.
Leads Under Control (Fort Lauderdale) sells an AI voice agent with missed-call text-back on published plans for HVAC, roofing, plumbing and dental. Amplify Automation (Brisbane) sells a voice receptionist for trades with published AUD plans. SuperDupr (Austin) builds voice agents and receptionists as projects for home service and construction clients. The Snow Media (Naples) built one for Ironclad Plumbing on the company's existing number that booked 56% of answered calls and produced $38,674 in a 30-day window.
If someone on your team can own the workflows, a platform plus a paid audit (AIUX Labs charges $490, credited against a build) is the cheapest path. Hire an agency when the automation has to talk to customers (voice, chat, follow-up sequences), when it touches your CRM or field-service software, or when nobody in-house will maintain it. Most agencies in this guide build on n8n, Make or Zapier anyway; the value is the design, the integrations and the maintenance.
Lead follow-up sequences, reporting dashboards, CRM and ad platform data sync, task and notification routing, and AI agents that answer calls, qualify leads and book appointments. Its published home services work is the Ironclad Plumbing voice agent (Twilio, Claude, ElevenLabs, Supabase) and the estimate recovery automation in Housecall Pro that recovered $18,349 in 30 days. The Snow Media is headquartered in Naples, Florida.
Leads Under Control (Fort Lauderdale, FL), SuperDupr (Austin, TX) and The Snow Media (Naples, FL) publish US headquarters. Amplify Automation is in Brisbane, Australia, DappaSol in Dehradun, India, Goodish in Slovenia, and AI Makers lists a Netherlands phone number. AIUX Labs and Axe Automation do not publish a location; Axe's placed engineers are based in Indonesia.
